Mrs. Conley’s second graders became researchers today! They designed their own surveys and collected data from their classmates to practice real-world math skills.
While we weren’t able to go to the waterpark due to circumstances beyond our control, Rivercrest Elementary is excited to announce our NEW Atlas reward trip – the movies! Students will enjoy their special trip on Thursday, September 4. We can’t wait to celebrate their hard work with a fun day at the theater!
Students in Mrs. Conley's first grade class played a phonics game with short a words. Every student had a word on their back. One partner segmented the sounds in the word, while the other partner had to blend the sounds together to form the word. After playing, students had to take their words and write them in a sentence.

Our librarians, Melissa Baker and Leslie Lancaster, have created libraries that are more than shelves of books. They are cozy, welcoming spaces where students discover new worlds, connect with stories, and grow as readers.
Parents, one of the best ways to support your child is simple. Ask them what they are reading. A short conversation can spark a love for books that lasts a lifetime.
Let’s celebrate the joy of reading !

Senior composite photos are fast approaching. They will be on September 10th starting at 8am in the Auditorium. A schedule has been created and posted to the Class of 2026 Google Classroom for each student. Students need to come at their scheduled time to keep the process moving smoothly. If the time assigned to a student needs to be rescheduled, please reach out to Mr. Diagostino @ david.diagostino@smccolts.com as soon as possible.

Rivercrest FBLA is so excited to start the year off with their first officer meeting. Kicking things off with leadership, goals, teamwork, and a shared vision for success. Here’s to a year of growth and achievement!

Congratulations to the 2025 Rivercrest High School Homecoming Court! Homecoming ceremonies will be held on Friday, September 26. More details will be shared closer to the date.
The students are having a blast moving through the STEM stations at the RES Library.
The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education has prepared guides for parents or guardians which outline essential learning targets for students in grades K-8 for literacy, science, math, and social studies. You may print out these guides and post them on the refrigerator or keep one in the car for road trips. Congratulations to these students in Mrs. Grider’s math class for earning a Fluency Homework Pass for week two. They will not have to write their multiples of three this week because they were able to say them correctly in class! Way to go!

Learning is hands-on and fun in Dr. Sims’ class! Students are exploring shapes, colors, numbers, and letters through sensory bins and puzzles.
A big thank you to First National Bank in Osceola for blessing our teachers and staff with baskets full of supplies, snacks, and cups! We appreciate your support!
