This week, the inflatable turkey is spreading Thanksgiving cheer around Rivercrest Elementary. Thanks to Mr. Milligan, assistant principal, the "You've Been Gobbled" challenge is in full swing. Each day, the class with the most nominations from the other classrooms gets the turkey, and today’s lucky recipient is Mrs. Kaylee Lloyd. Let the Thanksgiving fun begin!

IT’S GAME DAY and the sweeping in of a brand new season has put a new feeling in the air — the 3A State Playoffs have arrived! Your Colts will host the Fouke Panthers tonight at The TEZ with kickoff slated for 7pm.
The Colts enter the playoffs as the 3A-3’s 2 seed and bring with them a 9-1 overall record after a dominant 54-16 performance over Piggott. The Colts like to air it out behind the arm of senior QB Cavonta Washington who has connected on 70.3% of his passes for 1,943 yards and 29TDs. Washington has added 794 yards and 9TDs on the ground. His receiving targets are led by junior WR Buddah Harris who has 829 yards and 11TDs. The talented group of junior Jayden Young (over 1,300 all-purpose yards and 17TDs), senior Jakavion Williams (458yds 7TDs), and senior Keiran Morris (296yds 5TDs). Senior DT Andrew Lomack leads the Colt defense with 63 tackles and 13 TFLs along with Young (62 tackles 5INTs) and senior Nolan Williams (61 tackles).
Fouke is the 4 seed out of the always tough 3A-7 conference. The Panthers are 7-3 overall after winning a shootout last week 55-53 over Smackover. Senior RB Dylan Sprayberry is a dangerous man in the backfield having rushed for 1,215 yards and 19TDs (10.7 yds/carry). He also had 3 receiving TDs. Senior QB Terrell Robinson has been effective having thrown for 1,222 yards and 13TDs. Robinson has run for over 300 yards and 6 more scores. Junior RB Joshua Scoggins has rushed for nearly 500 yards and 8TDs. Robinson’s favorite targets have been senior WRs Jayden Greer (606yds 7TDs) and Collen Garner (298yds 1TD). LBs Chris Sherman, Jackson McMurry, and DL Dakota Escobar lead the Panther defense. The Panthers are on a 3 game winning streak and have averaged 59 points per game over that span.
This will be the first meeting between these schools. Bundle up and make plans to join us at The TEZ to cheer on the red and gray. GO COLTS!

In his first touch at the high school level, Lexx Latham hit paydirt from 34 yards out. Terry Gentry capped the Colts scoring with a 72 yard TD run. Hunter Ellis connected on 6 PATs.

IT’S GAME DAY and this evening is SENIOR NIGHT for the Colts. Rivercrest will host Piggott in the regular season finale. Senior Night activities are scheduled for 6:25pm with kickoff slated at 7:00pm.
Your Colts are 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the 3A-3 conference after blasting Manila on the road last week 45-6. QB Cavonta Washington has thrown for 1,834 yards and 26TDs and has rushed for nearly 800 yards and 9 more scores. He’s had a great group to distribute the ball to in Buddah Harris (39-753yds 10TDs), Jayden Young (34-499yds 8TDs & 6 rushing TDs), Jakavion Williams (25-380yds 5TDs), and Keiran Morris (16-265yds 3TDs). Young leads the Colt defense with 59 tackles and 5 INTs. Four more players have at least 50 tackles — Andrew Lomack (55 tackles 11TFL), Nolan Williams (53 tackles), Keiran Morris (51 tackles), and Tekylun Sanders (50 tackles). The Colts have 6 special teams TDs on the year.
The Mohawks have struggled this season sitting at 0-9 overall and 0-6 in conference. In week 4, Piggott led Newport 18-12 a few minutes from halftime before succumbing to the Greyhounds. The Mohawks love to use a big offensive line and fullback to pave the way for their running attack.
The Colts lead the all-time series 17-1. The Mohawks are looking for a signature win going into the off-season and the Colts are looking to finish the regular season strong ahead of the state playoffs. Make plans to join us at The TEZ to cheer on the red and gray. GO COLTS!

The Backpack Project is a program that allows the district to send home weekend snack bags with those students that need food assistance. This program is run completely on donations. Currently, our 7-12 program is in need of nonperishable snack supplies. If you would like to help, donations can be dropped off at the junior high or high school office.
