Rivercrest Elementary will celebrate Dr Seuss - Read Across America Week February 28 - March 3. There will be a fun dress-up theme each day that correlates to a Dr. Seuss book. Don't miss out on the fun!

Due to construction on the baseball and softball fields, pick-up and drop-off routes for the RJHS campus have been adjusted to keep everyone safe. Please see the included images for more information on morning and afternoon traffic patterns. Thanks for your help!

Rivercrest Elementary will have pre-k registration on Thursday, April 6 in the RES Parent Center from 8:30-11:00 am and 12:30-3:00 pm. Download registration paperwork at bit.ly/rivercrestprekregis or pick up a packet in the school office. Only completed packets with all documentation will be accepted for registration. Packets will not be accepted before April 6 at 8:30 am. Numbers will be handed out upon arrival and registration will take place in that order.

RJHS 8th graders attended the Mississippi County Schools Career Day yesterday at Blytheville High School Arena. Students had the opportunity to visit with colleges, career reps, local businesses, and community partners.

The Rivercrest Elementary Valentine's Dance for 4th-6th grade students will be Friday, February 17 from 6pm until 8pm in the elementary cafeteria. Admission will be $5 at the door, and concessions will be available.

Juniors are gearing up for the online ACT that will be given in March on the Rivercrest campus. With a little over a month to go, proper and focused preparation is important. Hopefully, this prep will help students feel more prepared and confident on test day!

Congratulations to school board member Kevin Weathers for earning at least 50 hours of board development training by the Arkansas School Boards Association. Thank you for your commitment!

Rivercrest JROTC traveled to Blytheville to support the Special Olympics Basketball Skills event. The cadets served as escorts for the Olympians and helped with skills events. Rivercrest JROTC has participated in this event for over 22 years involving hundreds of cadets.

IMPORTANT DATE REMINDERS! Parent Teacher Conferences will be held tomorrow, February 16 from 4:30-7:30 pm. Friday, February 17 is a professional development day for faculty and staff - no school for students.

Color guard auditions for the 2023-2024 marching season will be held the last week in March. A parent meeting will be held on February 28th at 4:30 PM in the high school band room. Everyone is welcome even if you don't play an instrument. Audition packets will be handed out during the meeting and we will discuss important information about being on the guard.

5th grade students who met their AR goal for the month had the opportunity to participate in a Valentine’s Day Escape Room. Students had to use reading and math skills to finish tasks to open boxes to win prizes.

Eighth graders will have the opportunity to visit with colleges, career reps, local business reps and community partners during the Mississippi County Schools Career Day Thursday, February 16 at Blytheville High School Arena. Students are invited to dress for success!

Osceola also has a clear backpack policy that will be enforced, and metal detectors will be in use for the safety of fans, players, and coaches. The entrance gate for fans will be upstairs on the north side of the arena. Games may start early during the tournament if the previous game has ended; however, a game will not start earlier than 15 minutes before posted time. All games will be streamed on Seminole Nation Facebook and on Seminole Nation YouTube channel.

Congratulations to the Rivercrest Jr. Colts on their regular season and now 3A-3 Jr. High District Tournament championship. The Jr. Colts finished the season 26-0! GO COLTS!
