We are aware of House Bill 1864, which proposes eliminating the option for four-day school weeks in Arkansas. Rivercrest School District remains committed to doing what is best for our students, staff, and community.
We will be working alongside other four-day school districts to provide a unified, data-driven response demonstrating the benefits and effectiveness of our current calendar. As part of this effort, we will be sending out community surveys addressing the specific components identified by the Arkansas Department of Education. Your input will be crucial in shaping our response.
For now, we encourage you to reach out to your state legislators to voice your preference for school calendars. Contact information for your representatives is listed below. Your voice matters!
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for your continued support of Rivercrest students and educators.

Our local legislators support our district, but they need to hear your preferences. Please reach out to Senator Dave Wallace, Rep. Joey Carr, and Rep. John Milligan, as well as the House Committee on Education, to share your thoughts. https://arkleg.state.ar.us/Committees/Roster?code=810&ddBienniumSession=2025%2F2025R#
